IDEAL cricketing conditions saw Trafford MV take the field looking to maintain improved recent form.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat on the best wicket they have seen this season,Trafford MV got off to a steady start with an opening stand of 64 between Jahinger Mustaq and Tom Armstrong, After losing a couple of wickets Mustaq was joined by Mo Butt and the run rate increased as a result of good running between the wickets, Mustaq eventually being caught off a skyer for 65. A brief cameo from "Paddy" Harrison (31) which helped MV to a 181-7 off their allocated 45 overs with Butt finishing on 47 not out.
The Trinity batsmen showed their intentions with the first ball of the innings being driven for 4.With not much happening through the air or off the wicket the MV bowlers were finding it hard to contain the Trinity batsmen on a wicket perfect for batting. However MV clawed their way back into the game through the efforts of Harrison (5-53) and Mustaq (3-52) before eventually taking by two wickets with four overs left.
