NORTH Trafford Athletic (NTA) under-12s won a closely-fought cup final against Ashton on Mersey on May 11, in the Timperley and District Junior Football League (Division 2).
Stretford-based NTA won 1-0, with the winning goal – from Kwame Osigwe – coming in the closing three minutes. Zubair Mohyuddin was voted man of the match.
The team are sponsored by firms BG Plumbing and One Stop and their home ground is in Longford Park.
After being promoted two divisions, they finished mid-table in the league.
Coach George Stones said: “The boys worked incredibly hard to win on Sunday. We’re all very proud of them.”
