SALE Sharks have signed loosehead prop Darren Fearn from Bedford Blues.

Fearn, hails from Scarborough and signed for the Blues in 2012, having played previously for Newcastle Falcons. Sale director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: “ Darren has been playing consistently well for Bedford in the Championship and he has been on our radar for a while.

“He is a young lad, English and I am sure he will prove to be a valuable member of our squad next season.”

Darren started playing rugby at a young age with Scarborough. He studied at Northumbria University and played for Blaydon, picking up an England Students Cap in 2009 before moving to Kingston Park.

Darren is 6ft 3ins and weighs in at 20st.
