Trafford MV 65 All Out v Winsford 75 All Out TRAFFORD MV’s 1st XI had a potentially good performance ruined as a poor batting display from Trafford MV failed to knock up the required target in a low scoring game. After winning the toss skipper Steve Haughton asked Winsford to bat first and following a tremendous bowling performance from Rashid Parvez who took 7-39,supported by Haughton,Tom Armstrong and Rags Nagaragu Winsford were bowled out for an achievable 75.
A weakened MV batting line up struggled to chase the low total due to some excellent bowling from the Winsford opening bowlers and only passing 20 in the 22nd over. Simon Lee was the only MV batsman to reach double figures hitting 26 before being last man out as MV fell ten runs short of the required total. The Winsford captain Mark Dean finished with excellent figures of 5-5 off 13.2 overs.
