Salford Red Devils help tackle loneliness
THE Salford Red Devils are one of many rugby teams who have teamed up with older people’s charity Royal Voluntary Service, to help tackle male loneliness.
Research shows that 70% of older men living alone in Britain who suffer from loneliness because their partner has passed away.
The rugby club has supported the campaign by inviting older me
n to attend a game with their volunteer and by hosting recruitment events games.
