SALE Sharks and Salford Red Devils will play head to head at the AJ Bell Stadium in aid of two causes The Prince’s Trust and Maggie’s.
The event on August 26 hopes to create maximum entertainment as one half of the match will be played to Rugby Union rules and the other half played to Rugby League rules.
The AJ Bell Clash of the Codes follows a history of cross-code matches in rugby, and celebrated the shared success of North West Rugby Union and Rugby League.
Steve Diamond, Sale Sharks Director of Rugby, said: “Our players will definitely be up for the challenge and I’m sure our fans will be there making plenty of noise.”
Brian Noble, Salford Red Devils Head Coach, said: “The fact that this is for two such fantastic causes is going to be a big motivator for both teams.”
