YOUNG golfers are getting great coaching at Altrincham Driving Range in the expert hands of PGA pro Graham Neville who began his own golf at Altrincham as a youngster.

Graham runs group sessions for young golfers on Saturdays and Sundays and the culmination of the sessions is to choose a champion from the group after a skills test session.

Graham said: “We work on different aspects each week including driving, fairway woods, irons, short pitching, long pitching and putting.

“The champion golfer is the junior who wins most points in the skills test, has been most attentive and also has good etiquette.

“In a very close contest the winner was eight-year-old Joe Kelly from Elmridge Primary School in Hale Barns and he was delighted to win the trophy.

“We also host supervised practice sessions on Thursday evenings after school to help the juniors continue to improve their game and for more info contact me on 07957 309547.”
