SILVER medals were won by Sale Harriers Manchester’s under 13s boys’ team in the Northern Cross Country Championships at Knowsley Safari Park on Saturday.
Jake Spilsbury, 19th, was first home, followed by Adam Spilsbury 23rd, Charlie Brett 33rd, and Adam Kinghorn 51st.
In bronze position were the club’s under 17s men, with Adam Roden 15th, Euan Gilchrist 22nd, 33 Christy O’Brien 33rd and Matthew Beacock 51st.
Aimee Pratt, 22nd, was first home for the Sale team that finished fourth in the under 17s women’s event.
The contingent included Rachel Hibberd 48th, Amber Towns 53rd and Mattie Yates 64th.
Lucy O’Gorman was sixth in the senior women’s contest, while Bethany Thornton was eighth in the under 13s girls’ race.
