Altrincham Kersal 12 Wirral 18

AK 1st team entertained Wirral on Saturday, who were on a run of six consecutive wins.

Both teams played open and entertaining rugby in the first half and AK nearly scored on their first attack with Jack Wise being stopped just short of the line. However Wirral were to open the scoring when their winger went over in the corner.

AK hit back with two long range tries from wingers Tony O’Connor and Jack Wise, one of which was converted by Rob Holloway. Wirral though were able to reduce the deficit before half time to 12 – 11 with two penalties.
