Katie MacWhirter breaks through for AK
On Sunday the Altrincham Kersal women’s team beat Hull 12 – 3, to move up to second place in North 2.
Tries were scored by Megan Camilleri and Julie Clegg-Haver, who also kicked a conversion.
Also on Sunday the AK Junior Colts beat Preston Grasshoppers 31 – 14 to remain in second place in the A League. Tries were scored by Will Carson, Ashley Smith, Connor Whyley and Nicky Cliffe, who also kicked four conversions and a penalty. Next Sunday they play top of the table Warrington at Stelfox Ave ko 12.30pm.
The AK 2nd team lost narrowly 5 – 0 at Vale of Lune but the 3rds had a good win 28 – 5 against Moore 2s.
