Winter bites at Trafford MV

TRAFFORD MV's top of the table clash against Tarleton was postponed on Saturday for the second time as the fixture was again hit by the frost and snow which has hit the region.

With the cold snap likely to last over the coming weekend there is a big doubt about Trafford's away fixture at North Manchester and also the visit of Stockport to MV's MacPherson Park.

February sees the International Six Nations Tournament come to life and Trafford MV are hoping there will be a surge in interest for the game of rugby as the big games hit the TV screens.

MV are busy putting their pre-season cricket activities in place with a view to building their youth section as well as strengthening the senior section.

Pre-season nets begin at Old Trafford Centre of Excellence on February 3 for men / women and youths. As well as senior players MV are looking for junior players at under 11 and under 18 levels with teams entered in the South Manchester Junior Cricket League.
