CAMPAIGNERS are working with council chiefs to discuss future possible uses for the axed William Wroe Golf Course in Flixton.
Members of the Flixton, Urmston and Davyhulme Future Planning group are fighting proposals to build 750 houses being erected on part of the William Wroe Golf Course.
They are also looking at how the prized land could be used in the future.
A group spokesman said: "Members of our group have been meeting with the leader of Trafford Council, Cllr Sean Anstee and our three elected representatives, Cllr Jonathan Coupe, Cllr Viv Ward and Cllr Paul Lally, to discuss future, potential use of the former William Wroe Golf Club site.
"We would welcome further ideas from the community. Our email address is fuadfp@outlook.com; please forward ideas and we will share with Cllr Anstee.
"We’ve held two meetings with residents recently to look at suggestions for how we, as a community, want to see this land used and many great ideas have been put forward."
