A SINGER from Urmston will donate all the proceeds from his new single to the families of the victims of last week's terror attack.

Wayne Devlin's latest single, a version of the classic song Danny Boy, has been released online.

The song is being sold for a minimum of £1, but Wayne urged the people of Trafford to get behind the single as all the proceeds will be donated to the families of the victims of the Manchester Arena suicide bombing.

Wayne said: "I was heartbroken to see and hear what had happened in our city and I wanted to do anything in my power to help and to let the families know that people cared about them.

"As a Mancunian, I feel helpless after what happened here in Manchester to help those affected by this atrocity."

Wayne will also appear at the La La Land Charity Ball at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Friday, June 16.

The event is to help raise money for breast cancer research at Prevent Breast Cancer, a Manchester based charity and to celebrate BMI The Alexandria Hospital's 35th anniversary.

There will be a three-course dinner which will be accompanied by singers and live entertainment.

Wayne said: "As an actor and singer all I have to give is my talent and I hope this will help in any small way possible."

He has also confirmed that he has had contact with Coronation Street who have said they will send over something for Wayne to auction off, to help raise money for the victim's families.
