CHOCOLATE fans will be in Eden this weekend.

This Easter Saturday, 15 April, shoppers in Urmston are set for some big fun as a giant five metre high chocolate scented egg takes pride of place for a day of family fun.

Children will be invited inside the huge egg for storytime sessions at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Storytellers from the Ting Tang Children’s Theatre Company will be captivating youngsters with traditional tales, including the Beatrix Potter’s Tales of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck.

As well as enjoying story-time sessions children will also be invited to pose for a Facebook album, where their image will be enhanced with bunny ears and whiskers.

Also in the centre on Saturday, Prevent Breast Cancer are set to stage a one-day extravaganza together with The Urmston Partnership and is asking everyone from tiny tots to grandparents to get involved.

Singer and actor Wayne Devlin will be performing a 45-minute Rat Pack swing set from 10am, followed by Sweet Rhythm Big Band in the afternoon.

“We are looking forward to the activities planned for Saturday, says Dion Mulvey, Operations Manager at Eden Square. “Not only will it be a great day for families we are also hoping it will also raise funds for Prevent Breast Cancer.”

The events are all free but parents and carers are invited to stay with their children and join in the fun.
