POLICE have released CCTV following a gunpoint robbery at a shop in Trafford.

A masked man had stormed into a shop on Irlam Road, Flixton, and pointed a handgun at a staff members face before demanding cash and cigarettes.

He fled on foot towards Kenilworth Road.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 10in, around 20-years-old, of slim build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a mask, a black hooded jacket, black pants, black trainers and was carrying a black hand gun.

Officers have released CCTV showing another man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place at around 6.15pm on Saturday January 21.

Detective Constable Simon Johnson, of GMP’s Trafford Borough, said: “We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to find those responsible for this robbery but we need the help of the public to do this.

“The individual who carried out the robbery left staff petrified after holding them at gunpoint throughout the raid and we want to speak to the man pictured in connection with this.

“I’m urging anyone who knows this man to do the right thing and get in touch with us.”
