FIVE schoolmates have chosen a colourful way to support a cancer charity.
Urmston Junior School pupils Callum Kingsley Rivans and Jake Tanswell, both aged 11, and Oliver Timpany, Charlie McGrath and Jack Watson, who are 10, have dyed their hair purple to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Callum's stepdad, David Wilkinson, said the boys decided on the fundraiser during a break time. This led to the children in year six voting to decide what colour thy should dye their hair.
David said: "We were all immensely proud of Callum before any of this, the boy has a heart as big as a cathedral.
"When we heard he was involved in this it was no surprise, as he is a bit bonkers anyway!
"All the boys are true fine gents."
