A WOMAN in her 70s suffered serious injuries after being knocked down in Urmston this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Carrington Road/Flixton Road, near to the junction of Church Road, at around 12.10pm on Thursday March 2 to reports a car collided with a pedestrian.
The incident blocked off the road for some time, until the woman, in her 70s, could be moved by paramedics and taken to hospital by ambulance.
She sustained serious injuries, although they are not believed to be life-threatening.
