AUTHOR Tommy Rhattigan will be at Urmston Bookshop, Flixton Rd, on Saturday, March 11 at 4pm for a chat and book signing.
Tommy wrote 1963: A Slice of Bread and Jam, which is describes his life as a seven-year-old growing up in Hulme.
Amid the derelict terraced houses of the area, the book recounts Tommy's year of adventure, abuse, crippling poverty - and an encounter with the Moors Murderers.
