URMSTON actor and singer Wayne Devlin is donating sales form his latest record to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

People can support the hospital by buying his single 'What Colour Is The Wind'.

Wayne has made the gesture as he takes a break from his singing engagements to pursue an acting career full time.

After appearing in several smaller TV and film roles over the past couple of years he is now auditioning for bigger TV and film roles.

Wayne said: "I'm not saying I'll never sing again but for now I'm giving it a back seat while I focus on acting. So I'd like to finish this chapter of my career as I've always tried to do, by supporting a very worthy cause.

"So after discussing it with my wife, Val, we decided that we would use my single 'What Colour Is The Wind', which is already released and doing very well.

"We've now set up a page where people can go and download the song with all the sales going directly to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

"It costs a minimum of £1 per download but you can donate as much as you like and help support a very worthy cause."

Angela Rowe, from the charity, said: “Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is thrilled that Wayne is once again supporting the charity.

"We’re sure fans and newcomers to Wayne’s music alike will enjoy his take on this classic, hit song.

"Every download will support our priority project and make a difference to each of the 240,000 children and young people who walk through the hospital doors each year.”
