AN Urmston street had a good old scream at Halloween – and helped Stretford Food Bank along the way.
On Saturday night, residents of North Grove came together for a spooktacular street party, getting into the spirit with fancy dress, pumpkin carving, apple dunking and decorating pumpkin ginger bread men.
Everyone who came along was asked to bring a contribution to the Stretford Food Bank, which resident Charlotte Schunke, who organised the party, dropped off at St Michael’s of Flixton’s All Souls service.
Around seven large shopper bags were filled with donations.
North Grove started hosting street parties in August, when they held a Macmillan summer lights event. £500 was raised for the charity and a further £100 was raised at a street cake sale.
