A HAPPILY married Flixton couple are toasting to 60 years of wedded bliss.
Les and June Fielding, 83 and 79 respectively, celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary last week.
The couple, who met whilst working at Colgate Palmolive, married on September 8 1956 at St Cyprians Church in Salford.
The newlyweds lived at Soho Street in Salford before moving to Reigate Road in Flixton to start a family.
They have two children, six grandchildren and are great grandparents-of-seven.
In their younger years, June worked at Trafford General and Les, at BP Oil. The duo retired to Angelsey in 2003 but Flixton drew them back and they returned in 2015 to be closer to family.
When asked what the secret to a long and happy marriage, Les and June advised to always give and take and to love and care for one another.
