BARE knuckle boxing champ Bobby ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Gunn will be walking out to music by Urmston singer Wayne Devlin as he defends his world title this week.

Gunn is hoping to retain his undefeated reputation as he takes MMA fighter Shannon ‘The Cannon’ Ritch at the Miccosukee Resort in Florida on Saturday June 11.

The Canadian, whose family hail from the Emerald Isle, has chosen Wayne Devlin’s version of Irish classic ‘Danny Boy’ as his ring entrance music.

Gunn has a 71-0 record whilst Ritch boasts 25-2 – and Gunn hopes his choice of song will inspire victory in the ring.

“This song was sung to me by mother when I was a child and when times get tough I sing this song to motivate and inspire me,” he said.

“When I heard Wayne's version of it I knew this was the song for my ring entrance. It's a beautiful rendition.”

Gunn’s upcoming fight will be presented by David Feldman’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and will be streamed live around the world on Futureofthegame.tv.

Wayne said: “I'm thrilled that Bobby is using my version of Danny Boy for his ring entrance music.

“Bare knuckle boxing, now it's legally and officially sanctioned, is slowly taking over the world of MMA and cage fighting.

“To have my music involved in this huge super fight is an absolute honour for me. I'm very proud and will be supporting Bobby all the way.”

It’s not first time Wayne has caught the attention of international boxers. Wayne was chosen to sing the entrance song for heavyweight king Tyson Fury when he took on WBA Heavyweight champion David Haye at the M.E.N Arena in 2013.
