KATE Green, MP for Stretford and Urmston, is hosting her annual Fairtrade coffee morning on Friday, March 11 at the Morris Hall, Atkinson Road, Urmston between 10am and 12 noon.

All attendees will have the opportunity to have a chat with Kate over a cup of Fairtrade tea or coffee, as well as sample some cakes and biscuits – all made with Fairtrade ingredients.

All are welcome and any funds raised in donations will go to Action Aid.

Fairtrade products have been produced by small-scale farmer organisations or plantations that meet Fairtrade social, economic and environmental standards including protection of workers' rights and the environment, payment of the Fairtrade Minimum Price and an additional Fairtrade Premium to invest in business or community projects.

The MP said: “Once again I’m really pleased to be supporting Fairtrade by hosting my annual coffee morning.

“It’s a great chance for me to have a chat and a cuppa with constituents as well as enjoy some delicious cakes - and all for a good cause.
