AN Urmston hairdresser’s salon is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
And the owner of Lady Care, Diane Georgiou, believes it may be the longest running salon under single ownership in the town.
The 62-year-old puts the salon’s longevity down to loyal customers, hard work and a willingness to change with the times.
“First and foremost it’s the support of all the customers, as well as dedicated staff.
“Most of my staff have been with me for a very long time and they all work hard,” said Diane.
“Fashions have changed a lot in 40 years but I think that we keep going because I employ young stylists who keep very up-to-date.”
To celebrate the milestone, an event took place at the salon on May 29, at which many of Lady Care’s original clients joined Diane to help her to mark the occasion.
