Pensioner loses fight for life after collision on Manchester Road, West Timperley

A PENSIONER injured in a road traffic collision in Trafford last month has died.
Police were called to Manchester Road, West Timperley shortly after 12.35pm on January 29, after a pedestrian and a van were in collision.
The pedestrian, 87-year-old Mary Woods, was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment for various injuries.
She died yesterday morning.
Officers from the road policing unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on 0161 856 6173.
