Camera theft rocks newly weds

A NEWLYWED couple are reeling after their digital camera was stolen after their wedding.

Rob and Natalie Brandon were married at St Wilfred’s Church in Mobberley on April 14 and held their reception in a marquee in a field opposite the church.

The camera was stolen some time during the night, and contained hundreds of photographs of guests enjoying themselves throughout the evening.

Natalie, 31, from Timperley said: “I’m just really upset and angry. I just don’t know what kind of person would steal a camera with wedding photos on.”

The £350 camera, a Nikon D3000, was a gift for Natalie’s 30th birthday and was set up opposite a homemade photo-booth.

The booth allowed guests to pose against a specially designed backdrop which was created for the wedding.

“There were loads of funny photos, with people obviously looking more and more merry as the evening wore on,” Natalie said.

“I couldn’t care less about the camera, I just want the memory card. If I got those pictures back I would be absolutely over the moon.”

A car boot sale took place the following morning in the same field as the marquee and Natalie is appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.

Rob and Natalie got engaged last February whilst holidaying in Portmeirion, Wales and had been planning for the wedding ever since.

She said: “The fact that someone has stolen my camera has put a blot on what was otherwise an amazing day.”
