AS part of their celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Woodlands Day Nursery and Nursery School in Timperley has been planting shrubs and trees provided by the Woodlands Trust.
The planting was overseen by their own Queen for a day, Bridie Etheridge, aged three, and Peter from JP Landscapes, who chatted to the children about the importance of looking after plants and trees as they grow and how best to plant them.
This follows the example set by the Queen herself when planting her own tree at Sandringham as part of the Woodland Trust commitment to plant a Diamond Jubilee Wood in 2012.
