TIMPERLEY resident Aydin Arabacioglu is the new bishop at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Netherwood Road, Sharston.
Aydin, aged 32,is married and has a baby daughter.
The ministry is unpaid and his job is as the European distribution manager for an American food and drinks company.
Two counsellors, Russell Taylor and Richard Roberts, assist him.
Russell, an IT manager, is married, has two sons and lives in Timperley. Richard Roberts, a solicitor, is married with a daughter and lives in Sale. .
“I feel so lucky and privileged to have been called as Bishop”, said Aydin who was brought up in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. “The members are genuinely loving and faithful.”
The previous Bishop, Stephen Scott, is now a member of the south Manchester area presidency.
Sunday meetings begin at 10am and all are welcome.
