POLICE are asking residents to be vigilant after a homeowner was ripped off by rogue traders twice in one month.

Officers received reports of a man knocking on doors in Deane Avenue in Timperley offering to clean gutters for £30.

One victim was targeted twice in one month, forking out for the unfinished work on two separate occasions.

A spokesperson for GMP Trafford South said: “Please warn your neighbours and never to business with door to door salesmen. Always report anything suspicious to 101.”
