A FIRE broke out at a house in Timperley yesterday afternoon.

Three engines from Altrincham, Sale and Wythenshawe scrambled to Bedford Drive shortly before 3pm on Wednesday December 28.

A plastic bowl had caught fire after being left on top of an electric hob.

Firefighters used one hose reel to bring the fire under control and ventilated the property to clear the smoke. Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.

No-one is reported to have been injured.
