A TIMPERLEY scout group has proved it is all clued up when it comes to both building site safety and healthy eating.
The 3rd Timperley Scout group worked with John Southworth builders on a hoarding scheme, when the building firm recently carried out a development at Welman Way and Urban Road, Altrincham.
The company aims to raise youngsters’ awareness of the dangers that construction sites contain as well as provide some information about the construction industry.
As part of this initiative, it joined forces with the scout group to take part in a hoarding competition through the ‘Considerate Constructors’ scheme.
They based their hoarding entry around a healthy eating theme to promote growing your own fruit and vegetables.
And the talented youngsters came up with designs and slogans the earned the runners-up spot in the competition.
Their efforts earned them medals, and gift and activity bags, and John Southworth Builders donated £200 to the scout group.
