Stretford pageant this weekend

LONGFORD Park will come alive to the sights and sounds of carnival tomorrow as Stretford Pageant gets underway.
The event starts tomorrow at 11.30am with an Edwardian themed procession of floats through the town on route to the Cromwell Road park.
There'll also be the usual Rose Queen festivities and other entertainments provided in the park on the day of the pageant, such as a fun fair and a car boot sale.
The event concludes at 5pm.
