TWO brazen men caused traffic disruption by walking down the middle of a busy Stretford road and assaulted a homeowner who challenged them for anti-social behaviour.

Officers are investigating after bizarre events on Derbyshire Lane ended with an assault on Saturday January 21.

At around 1.15pm, two men walked down carriageway of Derbyshire Lane, towards Seven Ways.

Oncoming traffic had to stop to avoid hitting the men.

They then entered a garden of a home near to the road’s junction with Park Road and tipped over the homeowner’s bins.

When confronted by the resident, one of the men punched him in the face, causing severe bruising and a bloodied nose.

The first man is described as being in his mid 20s, with blonde hair and wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and black jogging bottoms.

The second man is described as being in his late 20s, wearing a black woollen hat, black fleece, grey jogging bottoms and had a short beard. Both are white.
