STRETFORD Mall will have a new addition for the Christmas period, as a festive farmers market will be popping up in the centre.

Opening on Saturday, November 26, the pop-up will be selling everything needed to get in the Christmas spirit, including a whole host of artisan products ranging from fresh sourdough bread and chutneys to meat and cheese and a wide selection of hand-crafted gifts.

Stretford Mall centre manager, Gareth Wilkins, said he was delighted to welcome the festive farmers market to the centre for the Christmas period. “Annika and Heather, who run the pop-up, have pulled together a wonderful range of products and treats that are perfect for Christmas and those looking for something a little different.”

Annika Edge, co-owner of the festive farmers market, said she was thrilled to be in the centre. “Heather and I are both looking forward to opening the doors to our pop-up in time for the busy Christmas period,” said Annika. “Alongside our range of products, shoppers will also be able to create their very own Christmas hamper and over the coming days we’ll be announcing a programme of talks, workshops and children’s activities that we’ll be hosting. We’re extremely excited to be in Stretford Mall and can’t wait to open.”

Gareth said he was looking forward to something a little different in the centre in the run up to Christmas. “The Festive Farmers Market is something that you maybe wouldn’t associate with Stretford Mall and I’m sure that it will go down extremely well with our shoppers. We have so much going on in the run up to Christmas with the grotto opening on Saturday 26 November, so the Festive Farmers Market only adds to the excitement. It’s going to be a great Christmas season at Stretford Mall.”

The Festive Farmers Market will open at 12noon on Saturday, November 26. It will then be open Thursday to Sunday until Thursday 15 December when it will be open every day until Christmas Eve. For any New Years treats, they will re-open on Tuesday 27 until Friday, December 30.
