THE Wright Stuff is hitting the road for the first time in its 16 year history – and is heading straight to Trafford.

From November 28 to 30, Channel 5’s longest running daytime show will take up residence at the iconic Emirates Old Trafford.

The live shows will be filmed and broadcast from the Lancashire County Cricket Club grounds and will be the usual mix of phone-ins and topical debate, with celebrity guests from across the North West.

But now there will be a new studio audience ready to share their opinions, along with experts and people from across the city to give their views.

Host Matthew Wright said: “I’m lucky enough to meet viewers every day on my travels around the UK – but I can’t wait to hear from new voices on the show itself.

"I’ve been wanting to take the show out of London for years, and can’t wait to challenge the views of the people of Manchester. I hope this will be the first of many opportunities to get out and about across the UK.”

Channel 5 Commissioner Ninder Billing said: "We are really excited to be taking the show out on the road to our heartland audience, hearing views and opinions from people across the UK.”

The Wright Stuff on the Road will take place from 9.15am to 11.30am live on Channel 5 from Emirates Old Trafford. Trafford residents are being invited to be part of the audience.
