STEWART Milne Homes North West has donated £2,000 to a charity which grants wishes to seriously ill children.

The Trafford home builders organised a golf day that raised thousands of pounds for the Stockport branch of children’s charity, When You Wish Upon A Star.

The money raised will help to grant the wishes of children living with a life threatening illness and provide vital support for their families.

Stewart Milne Homes', managing director, Paul Challinor, invited Jen Hughes, the charity’s regional fundraiser, to the company’s office in Stretford to present the cheque for £2,000.

When You Wish Upon A Star’s regional fundraiser, Maria Moseley, said: “We are really pleased to receive this support from Stewart Milne Homes. The generous donation will make a big difference and will allow us to continue helping families to create precious memories of their children having fun.”

Paul Challinor, managing director at Stewart Milne Homes, said: “When You Wish Upon A Star is an incredible charity that makes an enormous difference to thousands of families in their time of need.

“We are always keen to find ways that we can give back to the local community, and we honestly couldn’t think of a more deserving cause. The team at When You Wish Upon A Star do such fantastic work, it is our pleasure to be able to offer them this support.”
