NATIONAL furniture retailer Multiyork is to open a store at the recently revamped White City Retail Park.

The Old Trafford retail park owner, the Derwent Group, has handed over the unit to the company for fit-out works and the shop will open later this year.

Multiyork is the latest of several major retailers to secure a place at White City Retail Park, which recently had a £6.5m makeover. Other stores based at the retail park include M&S Foodhall, Home Bargains, Iceland (trading as Food Warehouse) and Oak Furnitureland.

SCS has recently relocated within the scheme and Curry’s PC World has completely refurbished its store at White City.

White City is already home to the likes of Costa, Dreams, Furniture Village, Halfords, and Sofology.

James Maule-Ffinch, senior asset manager at the Derwent Group, said: “Multiyork is the latest in a number of retailers to join the diverse tenant mix at the newly transformed White City Retail Park.

"We’ve been really pleased with the level of interest we’ve received thus far and the quality of the retailers which have joined. We anticipate further strong interest from tenants that will strengthen White City’s retail and leisure offering.”

The retail park has 210,570 sq ft of retail space and 658 free car parking spaces.
