Longford Park
A FREE family open day will mark the official opening of the disc golf course at Longford Park in Stretford.
The course opening will take place on Saturday, July 2 at 11 am near the course entrance, featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony and an inaugural beginner’s tournament.
The course will be open from 10am for anyone to play, with volunteers on hand to loan out discs and teach the basics Disc golf involves throwing a frisbee disc into a series of 18 baskets, with the object of the game being to complete the course with the fewest number of throws.
The course has been developed by Trafford Council, the Friends of Longford Park, and Manchester Disc Golf.
