STRETFORD Mall is inviting shoppers to be a key part of the very special celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Fans of Her Majesty will have the opportunity to share their favourite royal reminders and remembrances with other Stretford shoppers by loaning them to be part of a display in the centre.

From June 10 to 17, an exhibit will be showcasing collections and items provided by visitors. Centre manager Gareth Wilkins said he was looking forward to seeing what the people of Stretford had in their royal collections.

“This is a fantastic chance for those that love the Royal family to show off their pieces of memorabilia,” said Gareth. “Collections and items can be any size and scale and could range from a tea set featuring the Queen through to a personal letter from a member of the Royal family. From now until 4pm on 9 June, those that would like their items on display can bring them to the centre management offices at the centre until they go on show in the mall.

“On June 10 we’re planning a very special event to celebrate the birthday of our longest reigning monarch and as part of that we’ll unveil the special display for everyone to see. It’s going to be great to have our own miniature royal museum here in Stretford Mall. I can’t wait to see what our shoppers bring in.”

Those wishing to have their items and collections featured in the exhibit should bring them to the management offices at the centre until June 9 between 9am and 5pm. They will then be asked to sign a disclaimer and will be able to collect their items from June 17 through to August 1.
