A MAN whipped his 18-year-old partner with his laptop lead because he believed she was cheating on him.
Manchester magistrates heard that Nicole Moyo, who lives in Little Hulton, suffered wheals on both arms and was checked in hospital for possible fractures.
Before the court was Petit Nswale, 19, of Stretford Road, Stretford.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting his partner and will be sentenced on March 6.
District Judge Mark Hadfield said “This is a very worrying case and the court will need to consider all its options.”
Prosecutor Clare Byers said Nswale had attacked his partner with the lead during a row at their home on February 11.
“He had spotted a text message on her phone from another man and believed she was having an affair,” said Mrs Byers
Bailing Nswale, the judge ordered him not to contact Miss Moyo or enter Little Hulton.
