Variety boosted by 'Star Wars' fundraiser at Leeds Building Society, School Road, Sale

THE Sale branch of Leeds Building Society played a vital role in the society's overall fundraising effort of £1,200 for Variety, the children's charity.
The branch, at School Road, sold special edition Gold Heart badges, featuring Star Wars fan favourites C-3PO and R2-D2, for a suggested donation of £1. This campaign coincided with the 3D release of 'Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace,' in cinemas.
