SALE law firm Slater Heelis got to their feet to help those who can’t afford legal advice.
Eight members of the legal team took part in September’s 10k Manchester Legal Walk in aid of the North West Legal Support Trust, which helps people who are unable to pay to legal advice and don't qualify for legal aid.
The team, which included Sharon Lund, Mark Heptinstall, Kirsten Bennett, Mary MacGregor, Lynne Muscroft, Nicky Dean, Frances Winkel and Federica Mingotti, raised £400.
Mark said: “The Walk is one of a number of charities that Slater Heelis works with and we’re really proud to have been able to contribute to this year’s target.
“Good legal advice is something that should be open to everyone and we contribute a lot of our services and time for free to support that.”
Over the past three years, the Manchester Legal Walk has attracted around 500 walkers per year and raised in excess of £75,000 for legal charities in the North West.
