THE funeral of Caspar Blackburn was held today at St John's Church, Brooklands Road, Brooklands.
Caspar's body was found in the Bridgewater Canal on October 7.
This followed a week-long search after 22-year-old Caspar failed to return from a night out at the Slug and Lettuce in Sale, in the early hours of October 1.
Caspar's friends paid tribute to the car enthusiast, from Sale, by following the procession in high powered cars dressed with orange ribbon
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Today, family and friends are coming together to celebrate the life of Casper Blackburn from Sale, who recently passed away. Caspar was a car enthusiast, his friends are paying their respects by following the funeral procession in high powered vehicles.
"Greater Manchester Police offer their condolences to Caspar's family and friends."
