A FACILITY for anyone affected by dementia, and their relatives and carers, is now open.
Dorothy’s Memory Cafe was opened this week at Sale United Reformed Church by the Mayor, Judith Lloyd and Peter Bennett.
The cafe is named to honour the memory of Peter’s wife, Dorothy, who had lived with dementia for many years.
Seventy people were present for the opening on May 2, representing many groups throughout the area but most importantly the cafe welcomed the guests that organisers hope to see and offer friendship to on a weekly basis.
Dorothy’s Memory Cafe, at The Lounge, Montague Road, is open every Tuesday afternoon from 1.00pm until 3.00pm in the lounge of sale United Reformed Church. It is an accessible building with a car park. It can be contacted on dorothysmemory@gmail.com
