PARENTS are being warned about stranger danger after a woman tried to coax a schoolboy into her car yesterday morning.
On Tuesday November 1 at around 8am, an 11-year-old boy was walking to school in Shrewsbury Road, Brooklands.
A woman driving a black VW Golf pulled up beside the boy and said “Hop in and I will give you a lift”. After the boy refused to get into the car, the woman sped off towards Woodbourne Road.
A spokesperson for GMP Trafford South said: “Parents, please be mindful if your child is walking to school alone and warn your children of the dangers of talking to strangers.”
Report suspicious behaviour to the police on 101 or in an emergency dial 999.
