TWO men abandoned an attempted burglary in Ashton-on-Mersey after being rumbled by neighbours.
Police were called to reports of a burglary at Totnes Road yesterday, Wednesday October 5 at 4.30pm.
Two men smashed a window of the back door of the house and tried to get inside but the would-be thieves fled after being disturbed by a neighbour.
The men are described as white, wearing grey hoodies and black trousers.
