THERE was double reason for festivities at a community event at Woodheys Park, Sale, on Saturday, August 20.
The Friends of Woodheys Park invited everyone to attend to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday, and also the park receiving the prestigious Gren Flag award.
Attractions for the well attended event included free refreshments, balloon art, face painting, games and crafts for children, ten pin bowling, mini archery, a craft stall and raffle.
The park has an 18-hole itch and putt course, open seven days a week from 10am during summer.
