SALE councillors have organised a ‘Big Tidy-Up’ event, which will take place on Saturday, August 13.
St Mary’s ward councillors Rob Chilton, Dan Bunting and John Holden have chosen the field between Ashton on Mersey School and Selsey Avenue as the location for their latest clean up.
Those wishing to take part should meet at the Cecil Avenue entrance, near the junction with Moss Lane, at 2pm.
Cllr Chilton said: “Last time we tidied this location, we retrieved about 10 bags of litter and a bizarre assortment of domestic and household objects. However, it is great that local people take pride in our community and are able to help us clean up the area and make it look tidy again.
“Anyone who would like to help out this time would be more than welcome.”
