PUPILS at Forest Park Preparatory School in Sale recently visited Manchester City's academy for a training session and tour.
During the visit they met Manchester City's new £20 million signing, Ilkay Gundogan.
Pupils in Year 5 and 6 enjoyed testing their skills on the pitch, taking part in a range of activities including shooting, dribbling, jumping, agility and passing.
Forest Park’s sports coordinator, Amanda Booth, said: “It is great for all pupils at Forest Park to have the opportunity to take part in activities such as this on a regular basis. All of the pupils enjoyed visiting the MCFC academy and taking part in a variety of activities to build skills and use them in team sports.
"Providing the opportunity for the pupils to meet Ilkay Gundogan was the icing on the cake. Thank you to everyone at City in the Community for a fantastic day.”
Pupils at Forest Park receive regular coaching from Manchester City community coaches as part of the school’s sports curriculum.
