IN the build up to the UEFA EURO 2016 tournament, Carlsberg has teamed up with TradePoint and ex-England international Stuart Pearce to prank a group of unsuspecting tradesmen in the beer brand’s latest stunt.

The video, entitled ‘’Bulk for Beers’, sees the legendary left-back kitted out as a genuine TradePoint drivers mate on his way to make an unexpected bulk delivery to a building site on at Ashlands in Ashton-on-Mersey.

On arrival at the building site, a crew of irate tradesmen immediately greets the driver, and chaos ensues as the site foreman gets increasingly frustrated at the unexpected delivery – with hidden camera footage capturing the action.

When the bulk delivery is finally unpacked, multiple crates of Carlsberg are revealed, with Pearce ending the day having a kick-about with members of the site crew, with flying tackles and penalty misses galore!

The stunt forms part of Carlsberg’s ‘If Carlsberg Did Substitutions’ campaign, with the brand aiming to substitute ordinary experiences for the extraordinary for England fans across the country.

England legend Stuart Pearce said: “I had what was probably the best day pranking the lads, and couldn’t believe some of the reactions we had – those blokes are really passionate!

“Ultimately, it was about making sure that regardless of whether you’re stuck at work or not, the country should down tools on June 11th, have a beer and get behind the England team.”

Paul Morris, Brand and Sponsorship Activation Manager at Carlsberg, commented: “As the Official Beer of UEFA EURO 2016™ and the England Team, we were delighted to work with Stuart on our campaign and be able to substitute a bulk delivery with a beer delivery, giving the guys some complimentary Carlsberg to enjoy watching the Euros.”

“At Carlsberg, we’re absolutely buzzing ahead of what promises to be the most exciting international tournament in years.”
